Joy Eggerichs Reed

Joy is the Founder of Punchline Speakers and has also been a speaker herself over the last decade.

Between 2005 and 2015 Joy worked as Conference Director for her parents Love and Respect marriage conferences. Then she created the Love and Respect Now website and The Illumination Project small group study as resources for her generation on the topic of singleness, dating and marriage. In 2014, Christianity Today named Joy one of 33 leaders under the age of 33 shaping the next generation.

Over the course of the last decade of creating content and speaking, Joy has discovered a love for learning through interviewing. She enjoys hosting events, interviewing speakers and mediating dialogues. She has taken several years of improv comedy classes to help her listen, add levity, and let the conversation and event unfold in a unique way. Joy enjoys helping others communicate on camera, be themselves on stage and develop talks and presentations.

For the next few years, Joy and her new husband Matt are calling Paris, France home. That’ right, on top of being newly married and launching a speaking agency, Joy will be trying to learn a new language. (She currently has the words “Bonjour” and “Croissant” mastered.)

Lastly, Joy does not like to write in third person, but for this bio she made an exception.

Joy is very professional, well spoken and wonderful on camera. Joy is very smart and knows how to think on her feet. She made all of our interview subjects feel very comfortable and welcome. The series turned out great, and the client was very happy, and a lot of it was in part due to Joy’s professionalism and charisma on and off camera.

When we were considering guest co-hosts, Joy’s name came to mind right away. She is full of life, curiosity and tenacity, which are all great qualities when it comes to hosting a daily live program. Joy had to do several different interviews with experts and authors. This all required her to come prepared with notes, research and create her own interview questions. Joy delivered and went above the expectations. She remains calm under pressure and actually delivers strong in high stress situations. She is well versed in several topics and is very genuine.
— Melissa McEachern, Executive Producer, 100 Hundred Huntley
I’ve had the privilege of directing Joy several times over the years on a range of projects. She’s a professional in every sense and her preparation was always meticulous. She can speak intelligently at length on a range of serious subject matter, but can turn around and make you laugh out loud in the next breath. She’s always entertaining and has an infectious sense of humor. Her name says it all. She truly is a “Joy” to work with (pun very much intended).
